My client is an established but growing fund looking for a Senior Lawyer who is also happy to be Chief Compliance Officer.
This is a business that is well backed and at a very exciting point in their journey. This role will play a pivotal part in their future growth.
At the moment they are only UK based but have plans to open in New York.
They need a really high quality lawyer who is also happy to get stuck into the compliance side. They simply aren't large enough to have a split team at the moment. Whoever takes this role will therefore have to be happy to look at areas like monitoring & surveillance until such a point as they can increase this.
They are a business with a lot going for them and are populated with some incredibly talented people.
This is going to be an amazing opportunity for the right person.
They will need you to be a Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales ( I would say 8-10 years PQE minimum) with no sponsorship requirements. You will will also need to be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the hedge fund market with particularly strong knowledge of fixed income products.
They will pay well and can offer a great pathway to future growth but do need someone who can commit to the role and the time needed to make it a success.
