MAIN DUTIES

· Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial and surveying responsibilities on site.

· Maintain all cost control procedures, including managing and controlling the budget and valuations by always updating the estimated final costs, and having the ability to show absolute cost and value reconciliation.

· Contribute to the conceptual designs/options to ensure the design is kept within the budgeted values.

· Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules.

· Analyse and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders

· Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other professionals to ensure project objectives are achieved within budgetary constraints.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

· A degree in Quantity Surveying.

· Experience of building construction in a quantity surveying or project managing role.

· Good negotiating skills with excellent time management skills.

· Computer literate.

· Ability to work to tight deadlines.
