Objective of the Role

Manage the entire sales process for three hotels in London Paddington (Mercure London Paddington, Mercure London Hyde Park, and Hotel Indigo London Paddington). Drive sales across all market segments, create a pipeline of new business, and grow local market share. Engage in focused business activities to increase opportunities and maximise conversions, supporting revenue targets and overall hotel budgets.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Develop sales strategies targeting revenue growth and client relationship development

Identify and pursue business growth opportunities through strong relationships within the account portfolio

Raise the profile of the three hotels through targeted activities

Manage all market segments, especially Corporate, Groups, Meetings and Events

Liaising with IHG and Accor central sales and marketing teams

Ensure compliance with hotel policies and brand standards

Manage key accounts, providing value-added solutions for travel and meeting needs

Respond positively to sales enquiries, maximising opportunities through negotiation and selling techniques

Maintain detailed account files and records

Keep clients informed about new hotel products, changes, and brand updates

Actively cross-sell hotel products to maximise opportunities and revenue

Develop knowledge of the local area and competitors to enhance guest services and maintain a competitive edge

Follow up on leads from the Front Desk to source new clients

Promote and use IHG/Accor member programs to encourage loyalty and repeat business

Understand and drive the hotel sales budget, delivering strategies to meet annual revenue targets

Complete weekly sales reports and provide industry insights and competitor updates

Attend daily and weekly meetings to ensure alignment with other departments

Complete RFPs, including GDS rate loading of local accounts and liaising with brand KADs

Perform other duties as requested


What We Are Looking For

Experience with IHG and/or Accor brands

Hotel sales experience, ideally more than 2 years

Excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic

Great time management and attention to detail

Positive attitude, self-motivated, and enthusiastic

Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload

Excellent verbal, written, and client-facing communication skills

Knowledge of Opera and Salesforce is an advantage

Previous event organisation experience in a hotel or similar environment

Knowledge of ANAIS, Cvent and Meeting Broker is an advantage
