The Opportunity

Finatal is working with a dynamic, growth-focused insurance business, backed by a leading private equity firm with c. £500M AUM. With continued expansion plans, they are seeking a Head of Reporting to lead the reporting team, drive financial transparency, and play a key role in supporting ambitious growth plans.


The Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for private equity partners and senior executives regarding financial performance, trends, and forecasts.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing reporting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, innovation, and accountability.
  • Data & Analytics: Transform raw data into meaningful insights, supporting strategic decision-making and contributing to long-term financial planning.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance reporting processes and systems to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all financial reporting is compliant with regulatory requirements, GAAP/IFRS, and aligns with private equity standards.


The Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in financial reporting or financial analysis roles, ideally within a private equity-backed or high-growth business.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing teams and delivering complex reporting requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial reporting systems, advanced Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday).
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a strategic approach to interpreting data.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to diverse audiences.
  • Qualifications: CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
