****Morrison Energy Services******** are currently looking to recruit a
Graduate Quantity Surveyor to work on our UK Power Networks & SSEN Contracts
in the South east of England

As a **Graduate** **Quantity Surveyor** you will work alongside our
experienced Quantity Surveyors to build upon the skills and knowledge you have
gained during your university studies. You will get the opportunity to be
involved in a broad range of commercial activities, with increasing
responsibility as you develop your technical skills and experience.****

**Morrison Energy Services** is proud to be a key partner in the**UKPN
Alliance and SSEN Framework** , delivering substation build and refurbishment
works across the East of England including design, project management, cable
installation, building construction, jointing, switchgear, bunding,
commissioning, decommissioning and demolition.

**As the Graduate Quantity Surveyor your responsibilities will include:**

* Assisting with the control of costs, maximising value, minimising and accurately forecasting cost whilst maintaining the required standard of quality and safety
* Compiling, reviewing and submitting Applications for Payment to our client(s)
* Assisting with establishing clients’ requirements for projects
* Performing risk management, value management and cost control
* Advising on and administering project procurement strategy
* Allocating work to subcontractors and administering subcontracts
* The measure and re-measure of subcontractor applications
* Contract administration including:
* Identifying and notifying Early Warnings and Compensation Events
* Pricing, notifying and negotiating Compensation Event Quotations
* Supporting the project team by providing advice on contractual change items
* Completing monthly Cost Value Reconciliations and reporting to the project team and Managing Quantity Surveyor
* Working collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth running of commercial team
* Maintain a good working relationship with the client and client’s commercial representatives
* Working to M Groups values of being honest and open with the client at all times

******Skills & Knowledge Requirements**

* Degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management
* UK driving licence.
