Medlock Partners are recruiting on behalf of a well-known FMCG brand to help them appoint an experienced HR Advisor for a 12-month fixed term contract to work closely and support the wider HR team and business with all aspects of generalist HR duties.



Reporting into the HR Manager and working closely with a number of HR Business Partners, you will support on key People activities and projects such as recruitment, payroll, employee relations, training and development and culture & engagement.



Key responsibilities of the Human Resources Advisor:


  • Manage a wide range of employee relations casework such as sickness absence, performance, investigations, disciplinary, restructures & change, ensuring adherence to current employment law and company policy.
  • Coach and guide managers on HR best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Identify and propose areas for continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for the wellbeing program for the business.
  • Provide reports and MI as required for the HR Business Partners.
  • Provide cover for the HR Administrator and Talent Acquisition Advisor.
  • Support Recruitment across the business where required, including preparation of JD’s and interview questions.
  • Propose updates to policies, processes and ways of working in line with best practise.
  • Support accurate monthly payroll delivery.
  • Take ownership of key HR activities including Wellbeing and Inclusion strategies.
  • Assist with a wide range of key HR projects to support the delivery of HR strategy.



Key requirements for the Human Resources Advisor:


  • You will have worked in a similar HR Advisor role and ideally you will have gained experience working in a fast paced, multi-site business.
  • Experience of managing a wide range of employee relations casework.
  • You will be able to work autonomously as well as part of a wider HR team.
  • Up to date knowledge of Employment Law and current legislation.
  • Ideally you will be CIPD qualified or working towards this.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel.
  • Experience in using a HRIS system.
  • You will be required to travel to other company sites from time to time, therefore it would be ideal if you are a car owner and driver.
