Culture Guru is recruiting an Environmental Consultant/Advisor to be part of a well-established and prestigious property development business.



The Environmental Advisor will oversee environmental and resource management at various project sites, providing support to project teams in achieving environmental objectives. This position involves regular visits to construction sites to perform assessments, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and this company's standards, and ensuring the accurate collection of necessary data.



Working within the sustainability team, the advisor will be responsible for compiling and organizing data for the division, assisting in performance tracking, report generation, and communicating project outcomes within the division.



♻️ A critical part of this role is working closely with project teams to incorporate environmental requirements and improve the environmental performance of construction sites. The position also provides the opportunity to enhance day-to-day environmental practices related to construction activities.



Responsibilities of the role but not limited to;



  • Be the Eyes on the Ground: Conduct exciting and hands-on site visits to evaluate how well this business is adhering to the environmental management system. You’ll get to dive deep into environmental performance and provide powerful recommendations for improvement.
  • Keep Ahead of the Game: Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are secured, making sure this company stays fully compliant with the latest environmental laws and regulations. You’ll be the expert in keeping them on track
  • Data-Driven Sustainability: Collect, analyze, and report key metrics—like waste reduction and utility consumption—to track the progress towards ambitious sustainability goals. Your precision will drive the green success.
  • Champion Collaboration: Work closely with construction project teams, advising site champions and developing innovative guidance that takes site performance to new heights. You’ll be the go-to expert for driving change.
  • Lead the Charge in Best Practices: Collaborate with the broader Divisional sustainability team to promote cutting-edge strategies and fulfil environmental commitments. Your contribution will ripple across the organization.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Keep up with emerging environmental laws and guidelines, and assess their potential impact on the company. You’ll be the thought leader keeping us at the forefront of sustainability.
  • Innovate and Inspire: Proactively improve performance and drive innovation by engaging with the management team and employees. Your enthusiasm will spark new ideas and elevate environmental efforts.
  • Empower Through Education: Increase environmental awareness by providing impactful training to project teams, both formally and informally. You’ll be the driving force behind a greener, smarter workforce.



Desirable experience and attributes of the successful candidate;


  • Due to the nature of this work (travelling to company sites) a driver's license is required
  • Background in the construction industry or environmental management, with a relevant degree.
  • Familiarity and experience with key areas such as energy efficiency, waste and resource management, and environmental oversight.
  • Understanding of environmental challenges specific to the construction and housebuilding sectors.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels and to inspire behavioural change.
