About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Media to lead performance media and media strategy actions at WePlay. As a critical leader within the business, your mission will be to deliver best-in-class omni-channel media strategies for our clients, develop innovative performance media frameworks, and identify opportunities to drive commercial growth. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and platform partners to ensure WePlay remains a leader in the sports marketing and digital media space.


Key Responsibilities

Media Strategy & Product Delivery

Lead the development and execution of omni-channel media strategies, including audience segmentation, channel planning, and platform structure, ensuring campaigns are aligned with client objectives and KPIs.

Oversee accurate tracking, attribution, and reporting of all media activity using tools like GA4, GMP, and WePlay Technology Platforms. Empower teams to provide insightful performance analysis and proactive campaign optimisations.

Build and nurture relationships with platform partners (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Google) to provide clients with high-level support, early access to BETAs, and exclusive media-first opportunities.

Keep client teams updated on the evolving digital ecosystem, delivering insights that position WePlay as leaders in performance media innovation.


Product Development & Commercial Growth

Drive the development of innovative workstreams, such as CRO, SEO, MVT, and DCO, to address client needs and deliver enhanced commercial returns.

Collaborate with the Business Development team to identify new revenue streams and opportunities for product expansion, supporting WePlay's ambitious growth plans.

Guide the creation of bespoke service models that convey WePlay’s expertise and deliver exceptional value to clients.


Team Leadership & Development

Inspire a team of media specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.

Coach and mentor team members, providing regular feedback to develop their skills and expertise in media strategy.

Ensure seamless collaboration between media teams, client services, and other departments to achieve shared goals and deliver outstanding results.


About You

  • Proven experience leading performance media teams and delivering successful omni-channel campaigns.
  • A deep understanding of digital media platforms, attribution models, and performance tracking tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving revenue growth through innovative media strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire teams and work cross-functionally.
  • A genuine curiosity for emerging media trends and technologies, with a desire to innovate and stay ahead of industry developments.
  • Experience within sports marketing, digital media, or a related industry is preferred but not essential.
