The Role
WWT Consulting Solutions Engineer (CSE) brings together customer requirements and technology experience/knowledge to lead client engagements in both identifying and developing the best of breed solutions to address business problems across a number of clients.
Using the broad technology partnership portfolio WWT has the CSE will be a thought and technology leader with their clients and drive innovative ways to help clients realize value and address today’s business challenges.
You will be part of a global ecosystem of CSE’s of which you which all you stand apart from others with the technology pre-sales industry.

Your opportunity
WWT supports F1000 clients across the globe working in a number of industry verticals. Our multiple discipline teams bring depth and breadth together to work with the Consulting Solutions Engineer to help create and define a technology solution to meet with client needs.
The Consulting Solutions Engineer will support enterprise clients in the UK, Europe and global markets using their experience and WWT expertise to enable clients to maximize their technology investments.
Qualified candidates need to have experience in architecting and understanding leading technologies across a number of vendors, be fluent in engaging with customers on a regular basis and will be seen as a thought leader representing WWT.
You will lead the WWT Technology portfolio with your client and position WWT Value proposition and key market.
Your Responsibilities:
- Engaging effectively with the Global Enterprise field sales team in support of customer pursuits, to advance sales campaigns and build rapport with customer contacts.
- Position and sell WWT Value based engagements using WWT partner technologies and capabilities.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships and the technical level.
- Operate as a technology thought leader with your customer.
- Delivering Effective Customer & Partner Presentations
- Present and hold technology conversations with senior members of the customer.
- Assist in developing Statements of Work, Recognise, support and assist in the scope and pricing of Professional Services work.
- Work in conjunction with the sales teams, technical teams, internal and/or external partners on a regular basis on positioning WWT Solutions-Led Propositions
- Assist and take ownership for OEM configuration creation.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFP when requested by sales managers.
- Have broad technology awareness from a business perspective.
- Engagement with your International counterparts on Global clients.
- Own IT infrastructure design and architecture/design for your clients
- Attend and lead customer business meetings with Account Executives and independently.
- Serve as the technical liaison to customers and internally to WWT.
- Building strong relationships in the EMEA region with WWT’s key OEM partners
- Achieving and maintaining required technology certifications and competencies
- Providing Effective Engineering Support of Customer Initiatives
- Leading and Presenting during Demand Generation Events
- Demonstrate Solid Teamwork and Peer Collaboration
- Industry awareness desirable
- Have a clear understanding of the WWT Value Propositions
- EMEA Travel required on occasions.
Qualifications & Working Practices.
· Technical discipline and understanding of core IT Technologies
· Strong pre-sales technical acumen across a number of OEM/Technologies
· Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
· OEM and Vendor landscape awareness.
o Core and Edge networking
o Core Datacenter infrastructure (CI, HCI, Compute, Storage)
o Virtualization and next gen Cloud technologies
o Cloud Technologies / DevOps understanding
o Internet of Things and Edge
o Industry awareness
· Experience of working with Fortune 1000 companies across multiple industry verticals
· Candidates must have a track record of positioning technical solutions opportunities to enterprise level customers with a global reach and large-scale technology footprint.
· Proven consulting and understanding of tech mechanics of a customer businesses.
· Experience with the RFP / RFI / ITT process and participation in such processes.
· Able to rapidly build trust-based relationships with mid-senior management on the client side by engaging in strategic technology peers.
· Ability to identify potential opportunities and be accountable for creating strategies to pursue.
· Full understanding of the end-to-end sales process and skilled at moving qualified services opportunities from resolute qualification through to closure
· Experienced with taking on the role of Technical lead on engagements working in collaboration with Sales Teams.
· Travel requirements 50/50 with base location being the WWT London office.
· Office attendance up to 3 days per week
· Your ability to learn quickly.
