About the Role:
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef in ensuring the smooth operation of an award-winning restaurant. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience, supervising daily operations, and leading a dedicated team to maintain the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily food and beverage operations, anticipating guests needs and ensuring exceptional service.
- Oversee breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, ensuring consistent quality and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of wine and food pairings, and ensure your team is well-versed in menu offerings.
- Manage Point of Sale (POS) systems and reservation systems efficiently.
- Monitor sales, oversee upselling standards, and handle cashing up and end-of-day reconciliations.
- Conduct team briefings and meetings in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
- Foster strong working relationships with the Kitchen Brigade and other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Be present for key events and busy periods, including weddings, holidays, and special occasions.
- Perform duty management shifts, including being on call as required.
What Were Looking For:
- A genuine passion for hospitality with a desire to contribute to the continued success of the establishment.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Supervisor in a fine dining environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop your team.
- Strong attention to detail, superb personal presentation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
