Senior Catastrophe Modelling Analyst (Multi-Line)

IPS are partnered with a leading, specialist global (Re)Insurer in their search for a Senior Catastrophe Modelling Analyst to join the team with a focus across multiple lines of business on a direct basis. The successful candidate will own the relationship with Underwriting teams and be able to provide commentary on modelling results and account movements to aid commercial decision making. This position will work closely with a number of functions and be key in assisting portfolio analysis inclusive of accumulation reporting and roll-up.

In addition there will be ample opportunity to be involved in a variety of CAT/EM project initiatives dependent on your interests and skillset, including model validation & upgrades, event response etc.

Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment within a large team with a highly collaborative and supporting culture, this opportunity is well suited to ambitious professionals eager to provide market-leading analysis and play a key role in helping shape the business’ decision-making process, with excellent progression and development potential supported by the business.

To be considered for the above position:

  • Strong experience using industry-recognised Catastrophe modelling software
  • Strong technical abilities including the use of SQL, proficiency using VBA/Python desired but not a requisite
  • Clear communicator with a strong attention to detail, able to work both independently and with teams.
