Software Enginner

Location: Witney, Oxford, UK (On-site)

BIOPTIX is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you are passionate about software development, have a solid understanding of interface design, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, efficient software interfaces that enhance user experience.
• Develop user interfaces for microscope image processing applications.
• Employ Python and GitHub for efficient version control, code management, and deployment workflows.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize software for improved performance and reliability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Python and experience using GitHub for code management.
• Experience with software packaging for compiled and deployable applications.
• Strong foundation in UI/UX design principles and implementation.
• Familiarity with geometry and coordinate system interface design.
• Proficiency in designing systems for multi-instrument control, communication, and asynchronous processes.
• Experience with multi-threading, multi-process parallel imaging, and 3D object rendering is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work full-time, on-site in Witney, Oxford, UK.

Compensation:

Salary based on experience (starting at £40k)
