Superscript is on the lookout for a PR and Communications Manager to play a fundamental part in building the reputation of the Superscript brand, and forging strong relationships with key media to represent everything we do for our customers.

This role offers plenty of opportunity for progression. The successful candidate will be able to define strategy for their function and will have opportunities to expand their remit and team to support expansion into new industries and markets.


What you'll get up to:

  • Work closely with the commercial team to ensure all comms are aligned with business goals and objectives
  • Develop and ensure communication of key messages
  • Craft press releases and marketing materials to communicate to our customers
  • Support our event strategy and subsequent marketing activities associated with attending or hosting industry events
  • Manage the press office day to day
  • Stay abreast of media trends in the insurtech space
  • Cultivate relationships with key media contacts across traditional and digital publications relevant to the Superscript audience
  • Deliver media training to develop and support internal brand ambassadors
  • Represent the Superscript brand to a number of different target audiences
  • Contribute to wider marketing plans, using your unique knowledge and experience of strategies that work for partners to inform marketing team ideation/brainstorms and strategy planning


About you:

  • A background in public relations, comfortable developing comms and messaging to reach target audiences via key media
  • Previous experience managing a press office, including crisis management
  • Demonstrable experience of securing key placements that elevate a brand
  • Unafraid to be client-facing and enthusiastic about representing the brand at events
  • Evidenced knowledge of PR skills such as using media monitoring tools
  • Comfortable using a range of traditional and digital channels to communicate with key stakeholders, from picking up the phone to messaging on social media
  • Able to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally to deliver integrated marketing campaigns
  • A team player that enjoys collaborating in a cross-functional setting
  • A creative thinker and problem solver
  • Strategic yet willing to be hands on
  • Adept at spotting trends and insights in data
  • Experience managing brand social media channels is advantageous
  • Industry experience in insurance is beneficial, but not essential
  • Understanding of how digital PR works alongside organic performance
