About Us: A prestigious private members club located near Chelsea, London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar Supervisor to join our esteemed team. Our club is renowned for its exclusive atmosphere, impeccable service, and commitment to delivering a first-class experience to our members. Key Responsibilities:

  • Bar Management: Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring it is run efficiently and in accordance with the club's high standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train a team of bartenders and bar staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging excellent customer service.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure all members and guests receive exceptional service, addressing any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Inventory Control: Manage stock levels, order supplies, and conduct regular inventory checks to ensure the bar is always well-stocked and organized.
  • Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and company policies, including the responsible service of alcohol.
  • Financial Management: Monitor bar revenue, manage cash handling, and work towards achieving sales targets. Assist in budget management and cost control.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute special events, ensuring the bar service aligns with the overall event experience.
  • Upselling and Promotions: Drive sales through upselling premium products, promoting specials, and implementing creative bar promotions.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on bar performance, staff issues, and inventory levels.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bar Supervisor, Assistant Bar Manager, or similar role in a private members club or high-end bar/restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, and premium beverages, with a strong understanding of mixology.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • A valid personal license to serve alcohol (preferred).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
