The Senior Project Manager leads an internal cross-function team and manages the efforts of key stakeholders, clients and third parties to achieve milestone completion and manage expectations. The Senior Project Manager role is comparable to the Project Manager role with regard to responsibilities but will likely have a portfolio of projects to manage with increased scope, complexity and/or value which requires greater depth of experience and capabilities as well as less hand-on guidance from the Delivery Director.

  • Ensure adherence to timelines by holding contributors to account
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and management of issues and taking corrective action to minimise impact
  • Manage project finances, tracking hours verses spend and aggregating monthly invoices for the client.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, or budget through a formal process ensuring that any modifications are controlled, costed, understood by the client, and do not negatively impact the project's success.
  • Create, maintain and organise comprehensive project documentation.
  • On conclusion of a project, conduct a detailed after-action review (AAR) to identify opportunities to improve project processes and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and providing insights and learnings to the Delivery Director for the benefit of future projects.
  • Work in accordance with our approach to delivery and ways of working to ensure a reliably consistent, high-quality approach to the Project Delivery Life-Cycle (PDLC) and documentation.
  • Stay updated with the latest Shopify and e-commerce trends in order to improve service offerings
  • Be an active member of the Delivery Team, contributing to the wider Project Management knowledge hub and learning new insights from colleagues.
  • Involvement in pitching process as needed.
