Role Overview
A new position has arisen to support the Lung Centre Team at the Cromwell Hospital as the department is getting busier and busier. You will perform conventional and complex respiratory tests in a range of clinical settings and there will be opportunity to learn and develop your skills. The clinic sees both adult and paediatric patients.
We are looking for someone thats available for an average of 2-5 days per week, with the possibility to extend to Saturday shifts (paediatric only), evening clinics (from 5pm to 8pm) and annual leave cover.
The successful candidate for this bank position is likely to be considered for more shifts as opportunities arise and a permanent role in the future.

What youll do
You should be able to perform all conventional respiratory tests independently and will be provided support and opportunity to develop your skills with more complex tests, if needed.

• Spirometry
• Lung Function Tests
• Reversibility Studies
• Skin Prick Allergy Testing
• FeNO
• 6-Minute Walk Tests (6MWT)
• Respiratory Muscle Strength Assessment
• Bronchial Provocation Studies (Mannitol and Methacholine)
• Fitness-to-Fly
• Hyperventilation
• Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test (CPET)
• Exercise Induced Bronchoprovocation (EIB)
• Capillary Blood Gases (ear sampling)
• Respiratory Polygraphy
What youll bring
• Youll have BSc in Clinical Physiology/ Healthcare Science and current ILS certification.
• Youll have experience in performing conventional respiratory tests unsupervised. Experience in both an adult and paediatric setting is preferable.
• Some knowledge and experience with more complex tests will be an advantage.
• You should have some understanding of private healthcare service delivery and be flexible and adapt to change whilst continuing to perform to a high standard.
