About the role
The Production Planner performs a functional role as part of the plant-based team to support the Supply Chain strategy at MSA. Specifically, this position will focus on achieving execution excellence day-to-day of the demand and supply plans for assigned production lines to meet customer delivery objectives. Success in this role requires close partnership and reliance on warehouse management, inventory accuracy, and material handling. In addition, ownership or rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) is essential to both coordinate assemble-to-order (ATO) production plans and to partner with the regional Supply Planning team for made-to-stock (MTS) production orders. Ultimately short-term weekly schedule attainment consistent with a medium-term master scheduling planning horizon is the primary responsibility in ensuring delivery and the customer experience.
