The Strategy team supports the Risk Intelligence businesses with the development of M&A, product, and commercial strategies (initiation, development, launch and management) for new and existing products and services.
The role will support multifaceted strategy projects and provides the opportunity to work closely with senior business management and make a direct contribution to the division's commercial success.
The Director will report to the Head of Strategy for Risk Intelligence. The role will work closely with the Risk Intelligence business leadership and product development teams, as well as relevant Risk Intelligence functions, including COO, Proposition, Finance, and Legal.
Key Responsibilities
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):
- Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Support due diligence processes, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and integration planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of acquired entities.
- Develop and present detailed business cases and M&A proposals to senior leadership and the board of directors.
- Work closely with the Head of Strategy to define and articulate the company's strategic vision.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop strategic plans and roadmaps that support the company's growth objectives and ensure alignment across all business units.
- Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
- Design and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability and market share.
- Conduct comprehensive pricing analysis, including competitor pricing, market trends, and customer sensitivity.
- Develop pricing models and tools to support strategic pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively communicated and executed.
- Bachelor's degree, MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in strategy development, M&A, pricing strategy, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with financial modelling and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful strategic initiatives.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and develop long-term plans that align with the company's goals.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
