About the Company: Speedy Fuels in Rainham seeks a skilled and professional ADR Fuel Tanker Driver to join our team. As a Fuel Tanker Driver, your main responsibility will be safely and efficiently transporting petroleum products to various locations.


Salary: £42,000, increasing to £45,000 after 6 months.


Shift: 5 am to 4 pm, days, 11 hours per day. Flexibility is required to accommodate business needs.


Contact: Full-time permanent position with 25 days plus bank holidays of annual leave per year.


Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate a fuel tanker to transport petroleum products to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tanker vehicle, ensuring that it is in good working condition.
  • Comply with all relevant safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including ADR and health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including trip logs, delivery receipts, and fuel receipts.
  • Ensure the proper loading and unloading of the tanker vehicle, following all necessary procedures.
  • Monitor the fuel level in the tanker and arrange for refuelling as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour with other road users.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of the tanker vehicle to identify any maintenance or repair needs and report them to the appropriate personnel.


Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 license and Driver CPC.
  • ADR training and certification.
  • Experience in driving fuel tankers is desirable.
  • Clean UK driving record with no major violations or accidents.
  • Strong knowledge of ADR and other relevant safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physically fit and able to handle the job's physical demands, including lifting and climbing.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including overtime and working one in every three Saturdays, is required.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • As part of our hiring process, applicants will undergo pre-employment screenings, including background and reference checks.
