A typical day in the life of a Data Analyst:
- Collect, organise, and maintain large sets of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources including CRM systems, financial records, and customer feedback.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy by performing regular data audits and cleansing.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can inform business decisions.
- Create and deliver clear, concise, and visually compelling reports and dashboards using tools such Power BI, Looker studio, SQL or similar.
- Custom scripts or automation of data processes and reporting.
- Maintain and manage the publishing of reports, sharing and updating dashboards and setting up fresh data schedules.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new analytical tools, and technologies.
- Propose and implement improvements to current data collection, storage, and analysis processes.
What we are looking for:
- 2+ years of experience in a data analysis or similar role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL and Excel.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Ability to analyse large and complex data sets to identify key insights and trends.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose data-driven solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong desire to continuously improve and learn.
It would be desirable if you had a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Or an equivalent qualification such as Data Analyst L4. It would be advantageous if you had experience within the health, fitness, or hospitality industry.
