Our client is a popular gastro pub with an excellent reputation, set in the beautiful Essex Countryside. They are looking for an enthusiasticSous Chef tocome on board and join their small brigade. This busy "foodie" pub prides itself on producing everything in house, using only the freshest local produce. The venue has a 100 cover restaurant and outside seating for 50 guests.

As Sous Chef, you will be expected to work closely with the brigade to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly, you must have a good working knowledge of each section of the kitchen and have previous experience training junior chefs. You will work closely with the Head Chef and must have good kitchen management skills and be committed to providing a high level of cuisine and service at all times.

The ideal Sous Chef will see this as a long term appointment and have a desire to progress within the brigade. Shifts will be a mix of splits and straights, and weekends

A car driver is preferred, due to village location, however live in accommodation will be considered for the right applicant. Commutable from the Chelmsford, Dunmow, Braintree and Bishop Stortford areas.
