We are seeking a talented and creative Mid Weight Graphic Designer to join our inhouse design team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing visually compelling designs that bring the collection of Karndean brands to life across a variety of mainly print, and occasionally digital mediums. As part of the Design Services team, you will collaborate closely with the Design Services Manager and regional marketing teams to conceptualize, design, and deliver engaging marketing collateral that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales.

With marketing teams across UK, central Europe, Australia, Canada and the USA; channels including commercial, residential and trade; as well as wide ranging projects, we can safely say no two days are the same, so a nimble approach to design is a must.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their abilities and may demonstrate the opportunities provided by the responsible use of emerging AI technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all touchpoints.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing teams around the globe.
  • Design print materials such as brochures, flyers, adverts, and in-store graphics/POS.
  • Produce high-quality design work from concept to final execution.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Prepare files for print and digital production, ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Stay up-to-date on design trends and best practices, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manage the photography and video library, retouching and editing assets as needed, including colour correction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.


Essential Skills:

  • 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience, either agency or clientside.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop; motion skills are beneficial but not essential.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Creative flair and expert knowledge of the visual principles of design.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • A portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills and creative solutions.
  • A good working knowledge of the print process, experience of preparing artwork for print.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.



Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working with premium / luxury brands.
  • Working knowledge of instore merchandising/POS.
  • Familiarity with project management tools.
  • Knowledge of basic html.
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
  • A passion or understanding of interior design.
