Responsibilities

  • Continuous improvement of the quality and efficiency of underlying working files
  • Balance sheet substantiation, including comprehensive reconciliations
  • UK and overseas statutory reporting, including dealing with audit queries
  • Prepare board papers to support the sign-off of the financial statements
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely broker financial reviews
  • Support due diligence process
  • Assist Corporate Controller in enhancing processes, reporting and documentation.
Ensure documentation maintained for key processes and controls Keep up-to-date with changes in new financial reporting standards/disclosures and production of associated accounting judgement papers

The suitable candidate for this role will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years working in a similar role. You will need a good knowledge of UK GAAP/US GAAP, to be comfortable with the fundamentals of financial process and controls and will be adept at various software packages.
