London, UK, United Kingdom Made Up Ltd Full time

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our growing Projects Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a client-facing role, managing the delivery of projects in an event or production company. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects, often with competing deadlines, is essential.

About us

Made Up is a full-service Creative Production House. We are a dynamic team of designers, project managers, and makers. We pride ourselves on managing every aspect of the brief in-house. From creative concept and design to construction, build and installation (and everything else in between), we take care of the entire lifecycle of a project.

With over 20 years of experience working with the world's biggest brands, we have delivered thousands of events, pop-up bars, brand activations, live events and retail design. We have worked with clients like British Airways, BBC, Google, Netflix, Facebook, Bentley, Apple, YouTube, Amazon, Prada, Tag Heuer and many more.

Our offices and production facilities are housed under one roof, allowing all departments to work collaboratively on a brief. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be our client's first point of contact. You'll pick up new briefs and work closely with design and production teams to bring them to life. You'll have the opportunity to see the project moving through our workshops and be able to speak with carpenters, metalworkers, scenic painters, the tech team and installation managers. For this reason, this position is office-based, and you'll need to be able to work from our Studio in South London.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience of managing projects in an event or production-based environment.
  • Experience in a client-facing role
  • Experience managing teams
  • Excellent time management and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to establish and nurture relationships with clients
  • A can-do attitude and calmness under pressure
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Confident using the full range of MS Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite / CAD software is an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and contribute to finding creative solutions
  • Understanding of the budgets and all costs associated with running the projects
  • Understanding of production methods and materials
  • Knowledge of H&S standards
  • Due to the nature of the events industry, you must be able to work outside typical office hours and travel domestically and internationally when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple client projects from end to end

• Work on client pitches and presentations

• Work on project budgets and timelines

• Take part in contractual obligations and ensure they are met

• Order materials and product sourcing

• Organise internal briefings with design, production and other teams

• Liaise with and manage all third-party suppliers and subcontractors

• Deliver projects within set budgets while keeping required margins

• Follow H&S standards and prepare relevant documents: production schedule RAMs, method statements, etc

• Onsite project management from installation to de-rig

• Support our project management team in Ibiza

What we offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Private Healthcare
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Paid overtime & TOIL
  • International travel opportunities in line with projects
  • Opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading brands on exciting activations, pop-ups and events
  • Opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team with the potential to progress the role into a more senior position
