Location: Fully on-site at our facility at Chemical Lane, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST6 4PB. You must have the ability to reliably commute, or plan to relocate before starting work


Job Type: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm/ 8:30am – 4:30pm. There will be some longer days when site work is involved, so some flexibility is essential


Due to the nature of the role, a valid driving licence is required


Salary: £26k - £29k DOE and qualification level (plus performance bonus scheme)


Are you a panel wirer/electrical fitter or builder looking for a new challenge in with battery storage systems in the renewable energy field? Our Commercial manufacturing warehouse is one of the major hubs of our operation.


We convert shipping containers into bespoke battery energy storage units and prepare them for FAT (factory acceptance testing), ready to dispatch to customers. So, this is a great opportunity for a someone who is happy to get hands-on in a busy commercial environment where two days are never the same. This role also has opportunity for growth into a field service or maintenance position for someone who is looking for development and progression.

GivEnergy are a globally established, market leading energy storage manufacturer of electronic equipment designed to manage energy use and production. We specialise in our range of inverters and battery systems which allow our users to store their renewable/cheap-rate energy, ease pressure on the grid and save some serious money.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for supporting our commercial engineers with the conversion of the containers such as insulation, cladding, painting etc. (with further development opportunities for floor covering and welding)
  • Ensure commercial orders are dispatched correctly by assisting with the shipment of goods to customers via a range of logistics solutions and associated shipping documents, making sure that our customers receive a first-class service.
  • Building our battery systems to perform FAT testing.
  • Supporting with product development and testing, working close with our factory team.
  • Support with commercial stock management.
  • Ensuring health and safety is the priority for all activity undertaken and that all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used at all times.
  • Working with colleagues to ensure tasks and activities are carried out in a safe manner.
  • Some general warehouse duties including manual-handling and use of MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment) such as CB (Counter-balance) fork-lifts, pallet-trucks etc.
  • Occasionally supporting our on-site engineers at our clients locations.


What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Valid driving license.
  • Joinery and studded walls.
  • Basic painting skills.
  • Safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Experience in moving goods safely around a warehouse site with a high level of manual handling e.g. lifting and loading.
  • Experience in using MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment)
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.


Preferred:

  • Some electrical knowledge & experience such as panel wirer/builder, electrical fitter, electrical maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of battery systems.
  • Welding.
  • A valid Counter-Balance Fork-Lift license.
