Offshore Working Foreman

This is a PAYE role, 3/3 rotation offshore North Sea.



The role of Working Foreman reports directly to the General Foreman/OCC and together they will share the responsibilities for delivering completion of work scopes in a safe, timely and effective manner. The position will support in execution of work scopes aligned with Torus plans in both Practical and non-practical activities


  • Establish a good working relationship with Supervisors and Colleagues to ensure the efficient performance of assigned task
  • Support and assist the GF/OCC in the installation of all construction work, adhering to processes and procedures
  • Prepare all drawings and ensure that perimetry is in place for the planned task
  • Give instructions and information to the workforce through comprehensive toolbox talks
  • Actively monitor the sites to ensure the perimetry is being adhered to and work is completed as per Workpacks
  • Attend meetings and support the GF/OCC where appropriate in the delivery of toolbox talks with offshore personnel at the commencement of each shift
  • Complete certification, commissioning and handover packages
  • Support the GF/OCC during the appraisal process for appropriate team members and take active role in their personal development
  • Support the GF/OCC in any activities associated with the competency of the workforce and assist with any coaching and development required
  • Act as a safety ambassador and support the OCC in providing safety leadership to offshore team members making the appropriate interventions to prevent unsafe situations or unacceptable risks being taken whilst ensuring work is carried out efficiently
  • Complete practical work scopes aligned with base trade discipline
  • Check of materials and report any shortages and technical problems to the GF / OCC
  • Compile and submit EQs where require



Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory

  • Relevant Trade Qualification: Apprenticeship or Level 3 SVQ/NVQ equivalent in trade discipline
  • Previous experience within a fabrication role or relevant industry
  • Previous experience offshore at Trade Level
  • Appropriate training as required by assigned client as detailed on the client training matrix
  • Good computer skills in the use of Microsoft, Excel, Word E

Preferred

  • Relevant Offshore Mandatory Requirements (Survival, Medical, MIST, EBS etc
  • ONC in engineering/City and Guilds in a related trade or NVQ in a related trade
  • Relevant experience and/or appropriate training in Flange Management and Torquing (MJI10,18 and 19
  • Relevant experience and/or appropriate training in Quick Flange and Lokring with in-date certification
  • Good working knowledge of industry codes and standards
