You will be working for the AWS Practice which consists of some of the best Architects, DevOps Engineers and Consultants. You will work in a mixture of teams to deliver solutions to some of the most high-profile customers in Europe. As a Senior Solution architect, you'll be implementing and driving large-scale cloud implementations on Amazon AWS.
Other duties include:
- Architecting and implementing cloud solutions for different applications, automating cloud operations and cloud deployments
- Assume responsibility for the architecture of solutions that leverage advanced analytics, data pipelines, web portals, statistical models, Machine Learning and AI, through our technology platform
- Draw on the strength and experience of a wider team of Solution Architects across Risk Capital, Enterprise Architecture
- Design and good communication skills is a must - explaining a complex solution to a non-technical audience, eliciting details of complex business processes from subject matter experts
- Experience building and deploying complex applications, particularly event-driven cloud-native applications, as well as integrating enterprise solutions
- Experience in Agile/DevOps, consulting with application development teams on same
- Cloud technology, ideally AWS including PaaS services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS, Docker, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, SageMaker etc.
- Understanding of distributed application design, patterns, and experience producing design diagrams and documenting standards
- Security Clearance eligible. You musthavethe right to work in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland and have been resident in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland for 5 or more consecutive years
- Experience as a SolutionArchitect or similar
- Knowledge of the AWS Well Architected Framework
- Linux (RHEL, Centos) and Bash
- Practical application of DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies
Location: This role can be delivered in a hybrid nature from one of these offices Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, London or Newcastle Upon Tyne.
