We are seeking a talented Chartered Trademark Attorney with 3-6 years of PQE to join our client, an internationally respected law firm, on a permanent basis in their London office. The Role
This role will see the successful candidate take on significant responsibility, working autonomously while collaborating closely with partners and senior colleagues. Key duties include managing large-scale international trademark portfolios, advising on registration strategies, and overseeing complex disputes. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating trademark conflicts, drafting strategic responses to opposition and cancellation proceedings, and handling UKIPO and EUIPO hearings.
Further responsibilities include advising on trademark availability searches, supervising junior team members, and engaging in client business development activities. You will also be involved in drafting and presenting witness evidence and working with investigators when necessary. Experience managing assignments and recordal projects, overseeing domain name complaints, and contributing to know-how and internal training sessions is highly desirable.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will be an accomplished Chartered Trademark Attorney, ideally CITMA-qualified, with 3-6 years of PQE. Essential skills include:
- A deep passion for trademark law and brand protection.
- Proven ability to independently manage client relationships.
- Excellent communication, drafting, and advocacy skills.
- Sound judgment and a pragmatic approach to risk assessment.
