Responsible for developing and maintaining management reporting and analysis across the EMEA region within a growing sports management, marketing and media company. Partner with the business to provide feedback and insights into divisional performance through analysis, with high quality output and attention to detail.


KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ownership of annual budget and monthly P&L forecasting for EMEA region
  • Consolidation & detailed review of Financials for Month end reporting, Monthly Reporting decks & packs
  • Accurate and timely submission of financial analysis, presented in a clear and consistent manner to both finance and non-finance divisions.
  • Oversee management reporting packs and variance analysis, ensure commentary is meaningful.
  • Responsible for Central budgets and forecasts
  • Lead in evaluating and supporting plans for new opportunities across the business
  • Ownership of purchase price accounting and investment & goodwill memos
  • Preparation of financial analysis regarding potential new business resources and hires
  • Profitability and margin analysis of multiple business units operating in different business sectors
  • 1Perform ad-hoc analyses at multiple levels of complexity including revenue analysis, cost analysis and financial and expense performance comparisons.
  • Tracking and analysis of contractual deal terms including achievement of targets, earn-outs and bonuses
  • Impairment reviews of acquisitions.
  • Develop super-user expertise for the company global accounting and forecasting software and uses system capabilities to streamline and improve processes.
  • Ad-hoc projects as determined by VP Finance EMEA.


The above forms the main areas of responsibility for this role, but it is not exhaustive and it should be noted that duties may change over time, so the need for flexibility is key and the job-holder will be expected to co-operate with reasonable changes as required.


QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE


  • 7+ years PQE with a recognised UK professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or overseas equivalent or demonstrate expertise in a similar role
  • Demonstrable success in a senior accounting role with International affiliate experience


SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE


  • Minimum of 7+ years in accounting roles with a minimum of 4+ years at management accountant level
  • Experience of managing and supervising an accounting team, including setting objectives and conducting annual appraisals
  • Ability to multi-task effectively without losing quality. Tenacious, persistent and highly motivated with advanced organisational, analytical and people management skills
  • Experience working in Sports / Talent industry
  • Experience working in a multi-national company
  • Experience of Workday ERP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications specifically with Excel. Ideally Pivot tables & VLOOKUPs.
