I'm on the lookout for x2 experienced Field Engineers to join a growing IT Service Provider as they look to expand their team further due to ongoing success.


If you're looking to take a slight step away from traditional BAU/Break fix type work as the business are looking to have a real push on Proactive/Automation this could be the ideal opportunity for you.


You will take full responsibility for providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems for our clients. You will work closely with our support team and clients to resolve technical issues, perform installations, and ensure optimal performance of IT infrastructure. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in the field.


Key Skills & Responsibilities:-


  • Provide on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of hardware, software, and network issues for clients.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy IT equipment, including servers, desktops, laptops, networking devices, and peripherals.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, system backups, and hardware inspections to ensure smooth operation of IT systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during on-site visits, providing technical support, advice, and solutions in a professional manner.
  • Respond to urgent client requests and IT emergencies, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, including Windows and Linux operating systems, network configurations, and common business software.
  • Experience dealing with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair, including servers, PCs, printers, and networking equipment.
  • Have a good understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices.
  • Travel frequently and adapt to different client environments and technical challenges.


The ideal individual, will play a pivotal part in building trust alongside a strong working relation with key customers to be the best point of contact and acting SME; with their best intentions in mind and away from the managed service mindset.


Although their isn't a requirement to be in the offices, the clients this role is looking after are predominantly located in and around the North-West. - A vehicle will be provided.
