Role Overview


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Finance Manager. In this role, you will act as the business partner to the product team, responsible for managing the financial product P&L for acquiring and currency, and supporting the Vertical CFOs with regular reporting and analysis to drive commercial success.


You will analyse large volumes of complex transactional data to extract critical insights that promote growth in this dynamic business. Building strong relationships across various teams and developing a comprehensive understanding of business dynamics will be essential.


What You Will Do

  • Support Vertical CFOs and their teams with reporting and business analysis related to Acquiring and Currency Conversion
  • Partner with the product team to assess capital utilisation and perform ROI analysis on new product functionality and market propositions
  • Analyse revenue trends and forecast variances, considering factors like credit notes, outages, pricing changes, onboarding dilution, scheme fees, and other penalties
  • Build and maintain regular reporting and insights, including a Product P&L from a vertical and/or sales channel perspective
  • Conduct competitive analysis to inform central pricing policies and repricing activities
  • Assist with Scheme management, including analysis of scheme bulletins and incentives
  • Work to enhance processes and efficiencies between Controller teams and CFOs
  • Utilise complex data sets from various product systems to support analysis and reporting
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to address problem areas as needed


Who You Are


  • Possess expertise in the Payments Acquiring industry from a finance viewpoint
  • Experienced in analysing performance across countries, divisions, or products, and identifying trends and best practices
  • A strong communicator capable of building relationships across teams, demonstrating persistence and resourcefulness
  • Logical, self-motivated, proactive, with strong analytical skills and a high level of intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent time management skills, with a keen attention to detail, thoroughness, and reliability, even under pressure
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and familiar with corporate planning tools (experience with such tools is advantageous)
  • Flexible and a genuine team player, willing to go the extra mile to support colleagues
