About The Position

REE Automotive (Nasdaq: REE) is changing the electric mobility and aims at becoming the standard for electric vehicles. REE’s disruptive corner technology enables a completely flat and modular chassis that supports mission-specific EVs from class 1 to class 6 for commercial vehicles and people movers.



REE is seeking a Program Manager to support REE’s rapid growth and development activities globally. This role would report to the Programs Lead and would be based out of the UK.

The Program Manager will take on a critical role of leading the successful and “non-event launch” minded management of their assigned program(s). This individual is ultimately accountable for orchestrating all program activities and creating a consolidated plan to align with the company’s critical path priorities. This involves internal synchronization between REE’s departments and partners, while embodying REE’s culture of organizational excellence.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop Program Management strategy, methodology, and tools/processes that support a “Non-Event Launch” mindset.
  • Plan, lead and monitor programs by ensuring execution and delivery according to scope and plan.
  • Develop in line with a “start-up type” organization - dynamic plans, that allow for uncertainty while ability to highlight critical path; track and follow up on programs’ progress.
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external meetings as applicable; these may range from technical to program planning, escalations, etc.
  • Develop and measure program performance with measurable KPIs such as a launch readiness metric.
  • Initiate and build new cross-company processes to ensure continuous improvement; lead program lesson learned reviews.
  • Map resources needed to reach objectives and coordinate between teams.
  • Provide ongoing program status reports detailing deliveries, challenges, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Conduct briefing and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
  • Responsible for all assigned projects within the organizational unit.
  • Focuses on directing organization to meet critical schedules, aids in resolving critical/complex technical or operational problems with peers.
  • Budget development and execution.


Team Management

Instill REE’s Culture of Organizational Excellence in all doings.

Establish goals and objectives for the department including, mentoring, training, lead & develop all new/existing team members.

Conducts performance appraisals on all direct report's ability to complete their function effectively.

Initiating OKR’s and associated KPI's relating to department performance and strategic growth - targeting world class status.


Other Duties

Perform other duties as required by for the success of REE. As a startup this can highly vary and is also one of the advantages of the environment.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (master’s preferred) or related technical field required or graduate from a vocational school coupled with relevant experience.
  • Three to Five years plus within the Automotive industry, coupled with proven relevant experience.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the Electric Vehicle ecosystem
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or CAD models.
  • Strong business acumen working in growing organizations and best practices.
  • Able to be a creative thinker and devise creative solutions to complicated problems.
  • Team player: ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Well versed with common workplace software (word processor, spreadsheet, database, etc.). Excellent organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal skills dealing with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment, proven track record of growing new businesses in a start-up or fast-growing technology company.
  • Experience at a national and international level position preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; adverse in various problem-solving methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of inspection tools
  • Strong motivation to support the company mission is necessary to succeed.
  • Willingness to travel globally.
