Bank Catering Assistant

Location: Duchy Hospital, Cornwall

Bank hours - This is a bank post so shifts will be offered on an ad hoc basis to cover holiday and sickness.

Summary:
Duchy Hospital is Cornwall's only private hospital with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare treatments and services. Duchy Hospital was opened in 1981 by the late HRH Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and is located in a pleasant rural setting on the outskirts of Truro.

By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services. The two fully equipped ultra clean air theatres are particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures such as arthroscopy, hip replacement and knee replacements. The hospital is also equipped with a day case theatre, with endoscopy facilities.

A wide range of diagnostic and treatment facilities are available including x-ray, MRI, ultrasound, physiotherapy, sports injury clinic, continence and health screening.

The role:

​​​​We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Catering team, to work in the kitchen, contributing towards maintaining a safe, clean and tidy environment. Our Catering Team work a range of shifts over 7 days per week therefore candidates are required to have flexibility.

This is a bank post so shifts will be offered on an ad-hoc basis to cover holiday and sickness.

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Food stock rotation
  • Kitchen environment cleaning
  • Pot wash
  • Food service
  • Basic cold food preparation

What you'll bring with you

  • Previous Catering experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Food Safety Awareness
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Customer care experience (desirable)
