Role Overview: The Head Host at Lo London is a vital position responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. As the deputy to the Reception Manager, you will oversee the hosting team, manage the flow of guests, and maintain the highest standards of service. This role is based entirely at the venue, ensuring that the front-of-house operations run smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:


Guest Reception and Hosting:

  • Greet and welcome guests with a professional and friendly demeanour.
  • Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a smooth and pleasant arrival experience.
  • Provide information about the menu, specials, and entertainment schedule.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly and effectively.

Team Leadership:

  • Assist the Reception Manager in leading and training the hosting team.
  • Deputise for the Reception Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of service.
  • Coordinate daily staffing schedules and assignments.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Prep briefing and giving it before each service. The candidate must be well-confident to brief a team including the management department.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee the reservation system and manage seating arrangements.
  • Ensure the hosting area is tidy, organized, and ready for service.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and floor staff to optimize guest flow and service efficiency.
  • Handle special requests and VIP guest arrangements with discretion and attention to detail.
  • Working closely with the Guest Relations Manager, ensuring track each special/VIP/regular guest according to their needs and preferences.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or nightlife venue.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in reservation management software.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
