Foublue have teamed up with a progressive ecological consultancy who specialise in ecological planning. They provide a complete service for projects from pre-purchase due diligence to surveys and assessment to inform planning or EIA including Biodiversity Net Gain, Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRAs) and presenting expert evidence at appeals.


They are now seeking a Senior Ecologist/Principal ecologist to join this sociable fast-growing team. You will be mentoring and line managing the younger members of the team carrying out field habitat work and surveying.

Responsibilities

  • Produce concise high quality written reports
  • Organising, overseeing and undertaking a range of field survey work for habitats and faunal species
  • Carry out background research, prepare fee proposals, manage and analyse data
  • Liaise with clients as well as carrying out interpretation, proofing and writing of technical reports such as due diligence assessments


Criteria for this role

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience with a relevant degree
  • Knowledge and experience of Phase 1 habitat surveys
  • Ability to produce concise, high quality written reports
  • Detailed understanding of UK wildlife legislation and policy
  • Driving licence
  • Ability to work under pressure
