The Lucky Pig is a busy, vibrant, award winning, late-night, cocktail bar known also as a destination music venue. Specialising in quality classic and unique cocktails alongside a small menu of delicious sharing platters and pizzas. We're passionate about cocktails, passionate about live music and passionate about exceptional customer service. We are a small, friendly, creative and collaborative team. Our ethos is to have great knowledge, be informal yet professional, and ensure our guests have an excellent experience.

The Role as waiting staff:

You will be a key member of the floor team working to exceed expectations, inspiring your colleagues with your excellent efficiency, skills and passion for exceptional customer service.

Working closely with all the venue staff, you will:

  • Have ideally worked in front of house in the hospitality industry for a minimum of 12 months and have experience of a customer facing position.
  • Take orders, post them accurately and deliver them on time.
  • Interact with guests in a warm and inspirational manner.
  • Maintain and deliver consistent standards.
  • Work closely with the general manager to train other waiting staff.
  • Work closely with the manager on creating new food menus.
  • You should be comfortable and confident to assist customers with taking food and drinks orders, serving to and clearing tables.
  • You should be polite, courteous and have a pleasant manner.
  • Impart knowledge and offer advice to customers for drink and food choices.
  • Work collaboratively with the other waiting and bar team to deliver exceptional standards of service.
  • Be responsible for undertaking the operational tasks required for the smooth daily running of the bar such as bar set-up and break-down.
  • Always deliver exceptional customer service, no matter how busy the venue becomes.
  • Uphold industry workplace best practices such as Food and Beverage / Health and Safety.

The ideal waiting staff will:

  • Have significant previous front of house experience.
  • Possess a good command of the menu and wine list to deliver recommendations.
  • Be confident handing customer complaints.
  • Be confident, capable and creative, with passion and commitment to delivering consistently excellent drinks in a vibrant environment.
  • Have natural hospitality skills, energy, enthusiasm and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Having some knowledge of classic and modern cocktails and a passion for drinks is desirable.
  • A desire to broaden their skill set and progress their career with future promotions available.
  • High standards of personal presentation and fluent spoken and written English.
