You will be responsible for overseeing the management accounting function and the role will include bid reviews, reporting, budget forecasts and financial analysis.


About you:

  • You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with post qualified experience and you will have sound knowledge of finance processes, standards and systems with good business partnering experience.
  • You will be used to working on large projects and you will have been involved in bid reviews, including pricing support.
  • You will have well-developed commercial knowledge and business understanding and strong technical accounting skills & knowledge.
  • You will have excellent Excel skills and a broad understanding of tax and compliance matters.


Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee accounts, budgets and quarterly forecast, along with commentaries & associated reporting.
  • Pricing and bid support to Project Managers & Directors.
  • Monthly consolidation, review of accounts, reconciliations, reporting and glide path analysis, cashflow planning and lock-up management.
  • Quarterly overseeing of quarterly forecast and associated reporting and engaging with capacity planning.
  • Annually- PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) market returns, preparation of audit documentation, Cabinet Office returns and Factbook submission.
  • Finance support and review of investment proposals.
  • Working with the Finance team and Operations Manager discussing and advising in tactical decision making.
  • Working with the wider finance team, ensuring Internal operating procedures are adhered to.
  • Supervision and line management of junior staff.
