About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Highways Supervisors to join our team on the Surrey County Council contract. We are looking for multiple supervisors across various areas, including Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS), Capital Schemes, Drainage, Structures, and Footways. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving Surrey’s highways infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations for assigned projects, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with all regulations.
- Manage and coordinate site activities, including planning, resource allocation, and supervision of on-site teams.
- Conduct site inspections, identify any issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, progress reports, and health and safety documentation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in highway maintenance or construction, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas: VRS, Capital Schemes, Drainage, Structures, or Footways.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Surrey.
