SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Challenging and Rewarding SEN School – Ages 4-11 – Opportunity for Permanent Role
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and looking for a fulfilling role where you can make a real difference? U-Educate are working with a fantastic SEN School in Southampton who are looking for a SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with a range of special educational needs, including emotional, behavioural, and learning challenges.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to deliver personalized learning plans and activities.
- Assist students with classroom tasks, ensuring they are engaged, focused, and supported in their learning.
- Promote positive behaviour, communication, and social development within the classroom.
- Provide one-to-one support for children who may require additional help or have specific care needs.
Key Requirements:
- A genuine passion for working with children with SEN and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.
- Experience working with children (desirable, but not essential – full training is provided).
- Patience, empathy, and resilience, with a calm and positive approach to managing challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
