Job Description:

As a KS3 and KS4 Science Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality science education, nurturing students' curiosity, and promoting a love for learning. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and Delivering Lessons: Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and conducive learning environment, managing classroom behavior effectively to ensure all students can thrive.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities, including science clubs, competitions, and school events.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in science education.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A relevant degree in Science and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels. Newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Attributes: A commitment to inclusive education, creativity in teaching methods, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
