About the Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of an elite fintech company in London that is seeking a skilled Linux System and Storage Engineer. This role is critical in maintaining and enhancing the company’s Linux infrastructure and storage systems, ensuring optimal performance for their high-paced financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Linux Systems: Manage and optimize Linux-based systems (primarily RedHat) for high availability and security.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automation processes using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Storage Management: Oversee Dell PowerVault and PowerScale storage platforms, ensuring performance, capacity planning, and data protection.
  • Support & Collaboration: Provide Level 2/3 support and collaborate with internal teams to meet infrastructure needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of systems and processes.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Linux system administration, particularly RedHat.
  • Proficiency with Ansible and Terraform for automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Dell PowerVault and PowerScale storage systems.
  • Problem-solving skills in a high-performance environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Background:

  • Previous experience in a fintech or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with virtualization, cloud platforms, and monitoring tools.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
