The team you’ll be joining

You will be joining the Regulatory Reporting department within the broader Finance team.


The Role

We are looking for a Junior Regulatory Reporting Analyst reporting to the Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join the Regulatory Reporting department.


The role offers the chance to work closely with the Group Compliance and Finance teams, and stakeholders across the business to deliver the Group’s Regulatory Reporting in the UK and Europe, along with the opportunity to deliver process and internal control enhancements.


What you’ll do

  • Support the timely and accurate production of regulatory reports for FINREP, COREP, Payment Statistics, Fraud, and tax reporting for EML’s UK and EU entities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Extract and collate data from a variety of sources for all reporting requirements;
  • Ensure compliance with regulations to ensure regulatory compliance in all stages of the reporting process.
  • Review and validate regulatory reports before sending to regulators.
  • Update and monitor regulatory reporting schedules.
  • Manage the Regulatory Reporting email mailbox and resolve all queries in a timely manner.
  • Manage the issues log and assist with remediation analysis.
  • Production of weekly, monthly, and quarterly MI and monitoring reports and forecast, for each entity, and at a group level.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of reporting requirements, regulatory changes, and developments.
  • Review and assess the impact of new and evolving regulatory reporting requirements
  • Ensure that all daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations are monitored and reported in a timely manner, and any issues are investigated and resolved.
  • Ensure procedures and documentation are kept up to date.
  • Participate in UAT for external portals and internal systems for changes to automated reporting.
  • Managing cross functional stakeholders at varying levels of seniority across the division globally. This role will also require communication with external stakeholders, such as software providers.


What you’ll bring

  • Business / Finance / numerate degree with 2+ years payments/fintech experience
  • Demonstrable experience working on regulatory reporting deliverables for UK/EU entities
  • Regulatory/ finance/ risk experience essential
  • Strong understanding of financial products and operations processes
  • Intermediate to advanced level of IT skills primarily Excel (VLOOKUP, macro, pivots)
  • Proven experience in working with copious amounts of financial data
  • Methodical and concise, with a solution-oriented way of thinking
  • Exceptional written and analytical skills
  • Experience with data analytics from ingestion to reporting preferred
  • Control minded – proactively looking to improve the control framework and ensuring overall risks are reduced
  • Knowledge of legal entity accounting and reporting preferred
  • Experience producing FINREP and COREP reports with an understanding of European capital adequacy requirements preferred
