Key Responsibilities

As a Credit Controller, you will:

  • Manage and maintain the company's debtor ledger to ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Proactively monitor and chase outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure efficient resolution of payment issues.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute aged debtor reports to management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and accounts, to resolve disputes and improve credit control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in a credit control or similar finance role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to handle challenging conversations professionally.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in [specific accounting software, e.g., Sage, Xero] and Microsoft Excel.
  • A strong sense of accountability and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
