Unique opportunity in this Site Director role running a small FMCG site for this successful business. Is this the ideal next step for someone wanting to progress their career or a sideways move for someone wanting to move out of a big corporate to see the full impact of their involvement in this business?


This FMCG manufacturer has a strong team ethos and a long-standing background with B2B and retail customers they are proud of, providing an excellent platform for future growth and collaborative projects.


These are always challenging roles heading up all functions with full P&L responsibility and in smaller sites, you need to balance the strategic with the detailed involved approach to be successful. The team culture is a real positive to highlight for this role and big steps have been taken to build on the existing knowledge and skill set within the business. It now needs an experienced operations specialist to steer the ship and continue the good work that has already been done. It is a fast-paced business so backgrounds in FMCG or food manufacturing are essential.


As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be reporting and presenting to the board as well as being visible at all levels in the business so need the experience and confidence to operate at a senior level and engage and motivate with all the factory teams.


As well as running a complex site the role needs a strategic planner able to stay close enough to the action to be a member of the team as well as leading it.There is always the need in these roles to push the CI agenda, look for efficiencies in every part of the process and deliver to the bottom line.


You must have worked in fast paced environments previously, FMCG or food manufacturing, for this senior role to understand the dynamics and need to be adaptable and fluid in your thinking.

  • Senior leadership experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.
  • Energy and resilience – you thrive on ever changing and moving manufacturing.
  • Adaptable and fluid in your thinking.
  • Highly numerate to make effective decisions based on fact.
  • Detailed approach ensuring constant awareness of production status/variances etc.
  • Passionate – you know where the business is at, where the levers are to drive performance.
  • Financial and commercial acumen and a solid understanding of manufacturing supplying B2B and retail customers.
  • Able to communicate and drive accountability with gravitas.
  • An influencer with the passion and charisma to work across key stakeholders at all levels.
