As a Procurement Subcontract Specialist for Major Equipment Procurement (MEP), you will collaborate with our suppliers to deliver world-class defence capabilities for our Home Nations and their allies.
In this role, you will:
- Lead subcontracts and manage obligations throughout the lifecycle of missiles and missile systems.
- Oversee the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of complex sub-systems.
- Provide commercial guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Manage risk and identify opportunities to protect and advance the interests of the business.
MEP offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment where multitasking is essential. We seek individuals who can translate requirements into effective solutions and contribute to our success. You will have numerous opportunities for professional growth within the MEP team and the broader procurement organisation. Travel to suppliers in the UK, Europe, and potentially other international locations will be required.
Ideal candidates will:
- Have experience in procurement subcontract management, including negotiation and contract terms.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Provide continuous support and cooperation to senior internal and external customers.
- Continuously seek improvement opportunities, analyse situations, and present balanced solutions.
In return, our client offers a competitive salary of approximately £47,500 DOE, hybrid working options, a company bonus, excellent site facilities, and outstanding career progression, training, and development opportunities.
