Location: Manchester Office (Hybrid Working Available)



The Opportunity:



Our client is a top 50 leading law firm based in Manchester city centre who is now seeking a skilled and experienced Costs Draftsperson to join their dynamic Costs team. Based in their Manchester office, with the option for remote work up to 2 days a week, this role offers the chance to work within a leading law firm known for its commitment to client satisfaction and staff development.




The Role:


As a Costs Draftsperson, you will handle a diverse caseload involving Claimant Personal Injury work. Your responsibilities will include drafting Bills of Costs, Replies, Points of Dispute, Costs Budgets, Negotiations, and providing advice for a variety of cases including Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Court of Protection, Commercial, and Solicitor/Client matters.





Key Responsibilities:


- Delivering an effective, timely, and efficient service to the firm’s clients.

- Communicating professionally and courteously with clients.

- Maintaining high service standards and client satisfaction.

- Managing your own caseload from start to finish.

- Staying updated on all aspects of costs law and the Civil Procedure Rules.

- Handling a variety of cases including drafting Bills of Costs, Replies, Points of Dispute, Costs Budgets, Negotiations, and providing Advices.



Candidate Requirements:


- Proven experience dealing with Claimant Personal Injury work.

- Expertise in drafting Bills of Costs and negotiating costs in Personal Injury cases.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.

- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with fee earners at all levels within the Personal Injury team.



What We Offer:


- Competitive salary

- Annual bonus scheme up to 10% of gross earnings based on performance.

- Hybrid working – office-based with up to 2 days remote work per week.

- Minimum of 25 days' annual leave (increasing with length of service) plus office closure between Christmas and New Year.
