My client is looking for a Data Engineer to work on innovative projects that balance essential services, optimise cutting-edge technologies, and safeguard valuable assets.

As a Data Engineer, you will develop future-proof pipelines and uncover deep insights from diverse datasets, collaborating with technical teams and clients to design, build, and leverage data architectures for ambitious projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and build robust end-to-end data pipelines locally and in the cloud.
  • Advise on system, data, and model architecture during early-stage scoping.
  • Ensure data is stored appropriately for its intended purpose.
  • Clean, summarise, and analyse datasets for exploratory insights.
  • Collaborate on multiple projects, raising technology readiness levels of proofs-of-concept.
  • Stay updated on relevant tools and techniques in data-driven modelling.

About You

  • Be able to do the job as described.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Expert in Python programming.
  • Proficient in Linux and Windows environments, version control via Git, and unit/integration testing.
  • Experienced with cloud platforms, relational databases, SQL, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Skilled in data cleaning, merging, and visualization, with exploratory data analysis expertise.
