Key Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this role is to identify to the Safety Authority any concerns regarding the safety of a product, or the application of policies and processes and to provide reliability analysis in support of products.

Role Responsibilities

  • To generate reliability artefacts required to support both the product safety argument and supportability engineering, such as Availability, Reliability & Maintainability Plans, Reliability predictions, Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams & Reliability Growth Analysis.
  • To support reliability analysis for new products and highlight areas of concern that require reliability growth:
  • Point of contact for reliability queries
  • To generate safety artefacts required to support the product safety argument, such as Safety & Environmental Management Plans, Hazard Logs and Safety & Environmental Case Reports.
  • To facilitate appropriate hazard/risk identification including functional failure analysis, Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Fault & Event Tree Analysis.
  • To develop product safety & reliability requirements.
  • To support Project Design Authorities in achieving compliance with Legislation, Regulations and Standards applicable to the product(s).
  • To assist in generating reasonable bid estimates
  • To peer review product safety-related and reliability artefacts generated by others in the team.
  • Ability to manage multiple safety & reliability programmes, including scheduling and interacting with stakeholders.

Skills
  • Experience in the implementation and delivery of Product and System Safety and/or Reliability Engineering activities is highly desirable.
  • Ability to build positive and effective relationships with stakeholders, including team members and customers.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness to share knowledge, develop others and learn
