London UK, UK, United Kingdom TruRating Full time

TruRating – be part of something which will change the world.

Take the plunge. Live the dream. Do something you know will touch the lives of millions of people the world over every single day, changing the way businesses and consumers think. Get out of bed in the morning for that adrenalin hit, love the pace, love the challenge, love doing what has never been done before – and love being the best you’ve ever been. And what’s more, owning part of what you’ve created.

TruRating is a hypergrowth SAAS company that improves businesses, benefits consumers, and donates to charities. Our patented Customer Experience (CX) technology collects feedback from 80%+ of customers at the point of payment and provides this data in real time to improve the multi-channel experience and revenue for merchant businesses. This feedback also provides transparent, representative, and validated information to consumers in the form of TruRating store ‘profile pages’, whilst for every question we ask, TruRating donates to charities around the world.

We partner with the biggest payment companies in the world, and our unique integrations mean we are delivering an unprecedented dataset. No other business in the world is combining online and offline sentiment and consumer behaviour data in huge volumes, at near to real time.

Our customers include some of the best-performing and highest-profile retailers in the world, and the group is growing constantly. We collect millions of ratings and over 150m data points every week and are ‘live’ in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, and NZ. With 700m ratings now under our belt and global patents granted/registered, the world is there for the taking.

We need to grow our passionate team to help us live out the dream and deliver on our incredible opportunity. We have a series of new functionalities and business opportunities that build off our core capabilities – and these need shaping and communicating to the world. We’re a global business with US headquarters in Atlanta, GA, UK headquarters in London and ANZ headquarters in Sydney. We are actively growing our team and invite you to check us out

The role in a nutshell

TruRating’s core value proposition is the insight and actionable data that it provides to its retail customers. As our Business Intelligence Product Manager, you will lead the charge for how we develop our insights platform (including dashboards, reporting, and data sharing) and better serve our core retail customers with the data and reporting they need to improve their operations, merchandising, and marketing. Additionally, you will help us expand the types of insights we can derive from our data and platforms – including how to leverage AI, cloud data, and data clean rooms to deliver intelligence and alerts that create ongoing engagement with TruRating.

This is a key senior hire for TruRating who will be immersed in driving forward the evolution of how we deliver data and insights for all our business customers, as well as user engagement, stickiness, and satisfaction with our data services and delivery.

The Ideal Candidate

We need a multi-talented data and AI guru who can extract insights and stories from our data, while also taking a product-driven approach to how we better serve clients with impactful insights, leverage new AI techniques to improve data quality, team efficiencies, and generative-AI derived insights for products, and develop new products with partners that provide added value from the data we are collecting.

This person should have a background in AI and data product management, as well as in customer-facing roles - including working with sales, marketing, and customer success to deliver insights to clients and prospects. Additionally, this person has a business development mentality and is capable of working with external data and platform partners to develop and drive additional value from our data sets. Experience with data analysis and tools such as Python and statistical modelling is also valuable. Experience in the retail vertical is also desired.

This person will be a doer, SME, and product manager all in one - speaking to clients to deliver executive-level business reviews, and using those insights to drive product decisions and new product development opportunities that drive value for TruRating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product management of new generative AI and ML capabilities across our portfolio - including in dashboards, profile pages, and Data and Insights presentations
  • Productize the data and insights processes by taking on projects such as -
  • Standardizing and helping customer success directors run customer success planning with clients
  • Working with data and product teams to improve the organization setup, tagging, and data management of onboarded outlets
  • Owning our PPT automation software to improve and automate the formats and presentations generated by data and insights teams - exploring potential for existing software (Matic) and new AI-driven tools and techniques
  • Working with sales to better package TruInsights services to allow more efficiencies in delivery
  • Explore third-party partnerships and external resources to develop and integrate insights and analytics from our data and act as product manager on the development and delivery of partner data products
  • Work with data and technology teams to "democratize data" internally so that you and other key business people can create new analytics and reports as needed to improve and monitor TruRating operations and KPIs
  • Mine our data for insights that can be used for thought leadership, marketing, and sales. Develop statical tests and run models to identify business insights for clients
  • Work with our Data and Insights team to deliver Executive Business Reviews to North American and Australia/New Zealand clients when needed
  • Track the KPIs for your products and drive actions to meet and exceed targets for user engagement and usage
  • Manage the Product Owner for our Business Intelligence product suite (including Dashboards, Data Share, and Reporting)

Who You Are:

  • 4 - 10 years of product management experience
  • At least five years of experience managing data products, including technical management and development of data dashboards, open data, and reporting
  • Experience in leading development, launch and growth for machine learning and AI-driven products
  • Background in analytics with ideally familiarity with python, statistical regression, factor analysis, data cleansing and preparation, and anomaly detection modeling
  • Strong client-facing experience with good communication and project management skills
  • Specific experience in new product development, including customer research, POC development, and management of alpha and beta releases and product launch programs
  • Specific experience in product go-to-market, including service models, value proposition development, and development of sales training materials
  • Ideally some experience with the retail vertical and business landscape
  • Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-starter able to lead without direct authority and work with humor, urgency, reliability, and authenticity
  • Experience and desire to work in a startup environment and willingness to accept uncertainty, adapt easily, roll with changes, and wear multiple hats
