What will you be doing?

As our Solutions Architect you’ll be developing and implementing a comprehensive technical solutions strategy that aligns with company goals. You’ll be designing, documenting, and implementing architectures that contribute to the technology roadmap to ensure scalability, resiliency, and security best practices are followed in products and services. You’ll also be looking for you to:

  • Drive a standards-based approach in service development and API publishing to support seamless integrations and ensure the engineering teams deliver best-in-class interfaces.
  • Drive and lead proof of concept projects to construct data driven proofs that specific design concepts and strategies work as expected.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance our technical capabilities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team. Collaborate with business users to create architecture in alignment with business need
  • Conduct regular reviews of systems and architectures to ensure they meet business and technical requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What are POWWR looking for?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in solutions architecture or a related role.
  • Experience designing service-oriented and microservices/micro-frontends architectures.
  • Experience with API design and management including RESTful, GraphQL and OpenAPI standards.
  • Experience designing systems for scale and resiliency.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps.
  • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of integration patterns and practices.

You'll be highly motivated, strong analytical skills, adept at problem solving and keen to work in a growing company. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and collaborative skills are essential as you will be required to interact closely with internal and external stakeholders daily.
